Many of us feel stuck in our daily lives, not knowing exactly how to get the progress that we want. Depression, anxiety, and trauma can hold us back from where we deserve to be and can negatively affect our well-being and relationships. No two people are the same and it is my goal to help you recognize your own unique strengths, integrating a case-specific approach to create your unique therapy plan. I am here to offer mental health support in a non-judgmental, friendly, and compassionate space.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and licensed with the BCACC with an RCC designation. I am also registered with the CCPA and have a CCC designation. I am a member of the BC Chapter of the Association of Family Conciliation Courts.
Additionally, I am registered as a counsellor with the Crime Victim Assistance Program and have further training and certification in Trauma-Focused CBT to be able to help those who have symptoms of posttraumatic stress disorder, fear, anxiety, or depression, related to traumatic life events.
I am part of the Crossroads Collective High Conflict team which specializes in working with families who are navigating heightened levels of conflict, and/or have been court-involved. I am trauma-informed and have specialized knowledge and extensive training in high-conflict family dynamics.
I have experience working with clients who are neurodivergent and recognize the unique differences that come with that. I have supported children, youth, and adults with ADHD, Autism, ODD, and OCD.
I have a play therapy certificate and love working with kids to offer mental health support in a fun, friendly, and compassionate space. Trained in the foundations of play therapy, I use this method to help children express and process their thoughts, feelings, and experiences, while guiding them in building coping skills and emotional regulation.
As an option, I am able to meld my two passions: psychology and music to offer music-integrated therapy. This can be particularly useful in calming the autonomic nervous system, reducing anxiety, and building self-confidence and competency through a creative outlet that brings joy.

Sometimes in life people go through painful experiences and unexpected events. It is my goal to help people heal and grow through periods of transitions in their lives. Many of us experience loss, grief, unhappiness or a sense of loss when we transition from one role to another in our daily lives. Some of us lose people we love, dreams we can no longer achieve, changes in careers, the diagnosis of a child with special needs, a loved one entering Long Term Care, or who is ailing in health, Divorce from a spouse, the beginning of a new marriage, perhaps with a blended family. It is my honour to help counsel you during these difficult transitions and help you heal from these difficult experiences.
I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCCAC). I am also licensed through the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and hold a CCC license.
I completed my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University and began working in my own private practice in 2016. Before going back to school to pursue my masters I worked as a Senior Executive in Sales and Marketing. I believe that my unique education has allowed me to help people grow and develop and create change for themselves.
I work with clients who are often stuck and want to transition themselves, whether it be a change of career, how to make difficult decisions whether it be to leave or a job or a relationship. How to deal with the loss of a divorce. Helping people work through blended families and or helping someone to create a new life for themselves after a separation or divorce. I also work with individuals who want to manage their time better, take on more challenges or who feel stuck in a current situation. I often work with those individuals who suffer from anxiety or depression and need help dealing with every day life and stressful circumstances.
About 10 years ago I adopted three special needs children and it was through that journey that I came to the work I am most passionate about, helping parents of special needs families. I meet with children and work with them using play therapy. It is during those sessions that I assess children for ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Autism or and/or other types of learning disabilities. I then work with parent to help them have their child formally assessed and diagnosed by a registered psychologist. Once the family receives the diagnosis I work with parents to help them get resources such as Applied Behavioural Analysis, and Behavioural Intervention, OT/PT therapy, additional counselling for the child and various other required therapies. I work with the family to help them get funding for these therapies through charitable organizations and through the application to CRA to receive the Child Disability Benefits. I also go into the schools with the parents to work with their school based team to develop robust IEPSâ for their child which will follow them until graduation.

If youâve spent much of your life tending to others. as a child who never got to be a kid, a professional, a parent, a partner, a caregiver, you may find yourself having trouble pacing yourself, saying ânoâ or understanding what self-care means. My clients often come to me during seasons of transition: when life looks âfineâ on the outside, but inside theyâre carrying old grief, chronic anxiety, or a persistent sense that something is missing.
You donât have to have experienced a major âeventâ to be affected by trauma. Many of my clients carry the impacts of chronic stress, emotional neglect, perfectionism, codependence, or growing up in high-expectation or high-control environments. These experiences may not have made headlines but they shaped how you see yourself, relate to others, and tolerate emotion.
My approach is gentle but structured. Iâll help you identify the strategies that once protected you but may now be limiting your life. Weâll work at a pace that honors your nervous system, not just your to-do list.
Our first session is about getting to know you: your history, your hopes, your hesitation, and whatâs brought you here now. Together, weâll clarify what healing looks like for you.
Sessions may involve reflection, storytelling, somatic grounding, creative activities, or quiet space to think aloud. Some clients come weekly for a season of change, others space sessions out over time.
I work with people of all ages: children, pre-teens, teens, young adults, mid-life folks and seniors who are navigating the complex and often painful transitions of life: loss, retirement, role shifts, identity crises, or simply the quiet ache of wondering, âWho am I now?â
My counselling practice offers a steady, compassionate space to explore whatâs surfacing: trauma from the past, current emotional distress, or the simple yet profound question: Whatâs next for me?
My Approach to Counselling
I believe therapy should be a place where you feel both supported and gently challenged. My work is relational, creative, and rooted in evidence-based methods. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), somatic practices, grief work, art-based approaches, and narrative therapy, adapting the tools to meet your unique story, personality, and goals.
I also use play and expressive therapy for adults, based on the understanding that many of our earliest wounds and most powerful healing experiences happen outside of words. And many traumatic life experiences are remembered outside of the regular narrative memory. Thatâs why we have gaps in our memories when trying to recall something that happened. This creative work is especially useful for trauma and grief, where talk therapy alone can sometimes fall short.
Therapy is not about fixing you. Itâs about accompanying you as you rediscover your voice, values, and self-trust. It includes giving you valuable, up-to-date information about the nervous system and proven methods of building capacity so that you can be more effective and free in your daily life.
Examples of situations addressed in therapy:
- Grief or loss (recent or unresolved)
- Anxiety, stress, and burnout
- Chronic illness or caregiving fatigue
- Life stage transitions (retirement, empty nesting, identity loss)
- Processing difficult family dynamics or relational trauma
- Emotional fallout from spiritual disillusionment or high-control groups
- Quiet trauma (not a single event, but a lifetime of emotional suppression)
- Adults exploring creativity, meaning, or values in later life
My clients include active and retired professionals, artists, faith leaders, educators, helpers, and lifelong caregivers. People whoâve spent a lifetime showing up for others, and are now ready to show up for themselves. Some of my other clients are at the beginnings of their journeys. They want to design a life that doesnât lead to burnout and disillusionment. Many are preparing for marriage or parenthood and want to bring their best selves to their new roles.
My Training and Credentials
I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling from Kairos University and am awaiting my license from both the BCACC (RCC) and CCPA (CCC), I also hold the following specialized certifications and training relevant to couples and trauma work:
- Written Exposure Therapy (WET) â an evidence-based protocol for trauma and grief, especially useful when individual trauma impacts the couple dynamic
- Complex Trauma Certification Levels I & II
- Ongoing professional development in attachment, and relational neurobiology
I also meet regularly with a trusted clinical supervisor and participate in consultation groups, which helps me offer ethical, well-supported care while staying curious and current in the field.
If youâve carried something heavy for a long time, or if youâre quietly aching for more clarity, meaning, or rest, therapy might be the space you need.
I offer a free 15-minute consultation to see if weâre a good fit. Whether youâre 18 or 78, you are welcome here.

I am a Master of Art Counselling Psychology Student with Yorkville University. Once I complete my degree, I intend to become registered as a clinical counsellor (RCC) through BCACC. I completed my Bachelor of Art with a major in Psychology at the University of British Columbia Okanagan campus in 2019. I have worked in mental health for over 7 years. I have cared for elders with mental illness, worked in a stabilization unit, and as a member of the Vernon Mental Health and Substance Use team.
Through my own struggles with anxiety, I have gained an appreciation and understanding of the uncertainty my clients face when seeking help. I understand on a personal level how they can be impacted by a diagnosis. As a parent to children with mental health struggles, I have unconditional compassion for others and understand the effect it can have on a family. I also have experienced how invaluable it can be to connect with a professional to feel heard, supported and to gain new perspective.
I value a person-centered, individual approach for each client that sees me. I want to help walk with you on your journey in a way that feels right to you without judgment. I bring an open, safe, and respectful environment to all people no matter the struggles they are facing. Itâs my honour to counsel you during your challenges and help you heal from any of these experiences.
I have experience working with individuals in a supportive role through my many years of mental health work, including those suffering from:
- Bipolar Disorder
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Transgender youth
- Schizophrenia
- Autism
- ADHD
- Parenting
- Divorce

Sometimes life feels heavy, and you may find yourself stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what to do next. Having the right support can make all the difference. I will work alongside you to create a safe and compassionate space where you can slow down, feel heard, and begin to make sense of what youâre experiencing.
I work with individuals, couples, families, children, and youth, supporting people through lifeâs obstacles. This could mean helping a child find healthy ways to express and manage overwhelming emotions, guiding a family to rebuild trust and improve their communication, or walking alongside an adult as they navigate anxiety, manage stress, or develop emotional balance.
With a background in child and youth care, my approach is compassionate, down-to-earth, and centred on what matters most to you. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in moving forward with greater clarity, resilience, and connection.
I am currently a student intern counsellor at Crossroads Collective in Kelowna, BC, while pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. With an educational background in Child and Youth Care and ongoing practical experience through my practicums and current work in the field, I have developed a strong foundation for supporting children, youth, and families. As an intern, I receive experienced clinical supervision that guides my work, allowing me to provide compassionate, client-centred support focused on helping individuals build resilience and develop healthy coping skills.
Outside of work, Iâm an outdoors enthusiast who loves hiking and travelling to new places. I was also a competitive dancer and deeply value movement as a powerful form of self-expression. I bring this sense of creativity and openness into my counselling practice, creating a space where you can feel safe to explore your own journey toward growth and healing.
My Approach to Counselling
I offer an integrative, client-centred and trauma-informed approach to therapy, with a deep respect for each personâs unique story and strengths. My work is grounded in Adlerian principles, emphasizing encouragement, belonging, and purposeful living while exploring family dynamics to understand patterns and foster social connectedness. I prioritize enhancing clientsâ emotional awareness and facilitating deeper connections with themselves and others in the present moment. By guiding clients to reframe and reconstruct their personal narratives, I support healing, empowerment, and resilience.
With children and youth, I incorporate play therapy and expressive arts to promote emotional regulation, communication, and self-expression in ways that are developmentally appropriate and engaging. My background in creative movement and dance enriches this work, especially for clients who benefit from somatic and non-verbal expression.
I work collaboratively with individuals, couples, and families to address a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationship concerns, and emotional regulation. Through a compassionate and strength-based lens, I strive to create a safe and inclusive space where healing and growth can unfold.
Areas of Focus
