Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a form of therapy that utilizes bilateral stimulation (BLS), typically in the form of eye movements, repetitive tapping, or auditory tones, to accelerate the brain’s natural capacity to process and heal a disturbing memory, thought, or feeling. Prior to EMDR, traumatic memories are stuck in the emotional center of the brain, becoming easily cued or activated at reminders of the trauma (and may be experienced as flashbacks, anxiety, depression, nightmares, etc.). During EMDR, the BLS enables the disturbing memory contained in the emotional brain to be linked to the rational center of the brain, where the memory can be reintegrated and retained in a non-disturbing manner.

My passion revolves around helping youth and young adults find their direction in life. I have my masters in counselling psychology from the Yorkville University. My practicum took place at the Chilliwack Youth Health Center where I worked exclusively with students, youth, and young adults. I have a deep understanding of the challenges that face young people and am very sensitive to their specific needs. Further, I taught overseas for years which helped me to develop a multicultural perspective that serves me in counselling as well.

I am a licensed teacher in both Ontario and British Columbia and consider myself to be a life-long learner. Combined with my teaching background and masters training, I have a firm grasp for dealing with substance misuse, relationship issues, and post-secondary school options and career planning. I can help clients deal with life transitions, anxiety, depression, grief, and family structure changes. My approach is versatile and dynamic where I use a variety of approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and other interventions as the client requires. Through my eclectic approach, I give my clients the tools counselling can provide which they can apply to their daily lives.

Feeling heard and unconditionally accepted can help us feel safe while exploring the most vulnerable parts of ourselves. This is what I strive to provide you with as I help you summon your inner resources to build self-acceptance, empowerment, and inner peace. It is easy to believe that we do not deserve these things when feelings of guilt and shame prevent us from loving and forgiving ourselves. This can lead us to feel stuck in the past, making it hard to move forward. However, I believe that we are all capable of growing and achieving internal peace, hence why it is my honour and privilege to help you find yours.

I am currently studying my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Upon completion, I intend to become designated as a Registered Clinical Counsellor with the BCACC, with whom I currently hold a student membership. Prior to studying my Masters, I completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at Simon Fraser University. I chose this path because I loved learning about people. During this time, I also volunteered for several non-profit organizations where I worked with diverse people in socially and therapeutically supportive ways. These experiences evolved my love for learning about people into a love for listening to their stories. However, my previous volunteer work as a crisis line call-taker truly confirmed my passion for playing an active role in supporting people therapeutically. It now brings me joy to be able to work with you as a counselling intern to process your pain and help you achieve your goals.

My approach to therapy is primarily humanistic and integrative. Typically, I utilize a person-centred framework while incorporating elements of Gestalt, Existential, and Solution-Focused therapies. However, I also integrate elements of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy where relevant. My integrative style is likewise collaborative, strengths-based, and unconditionally regarding of your perspective and experiences. Moreover, it allows me to tailor a unique therapeutic experience to you and your reasons for seeking counselling. This allows me to be flexible with how I continuously uphold your best interests.

Life never follows the map we drew out exactly how we would like. Despite the plans we create, relationships are unpredictable - conflict and challenges can emerge. My goal is to help guide you while you process, navigate, and explore the unexpected in life in a safe space. My approach to counselling is to create a warm, understanding, client-centred environment to support you with compassion, empathy, and understanding to view your situation holistically.

I am currently a Master of Social Work student at Wilfrid Laurier University. While embarking on the journey to become a private counsellor, I also work with Fraser Health Authority as a Clinician Social Worker with an Assertive Community Treatment Team, supporting people daily with acute mental health struggles. Before this, I lived in Saskatchewan and worked as a crisis counsellor for over seven years, and have extensive experience in crisis intervention, solution-focused, and family-centred practice. I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work through the University of Regina in 2010, and have been a registered social worker in good standing for many years with the provincial bodies.

I have gained experience in counselling families and individuals through crisis situations. What brings me the most joy is supporting families, especially parents, to learn new ways of interacting and engaging with their children, as well as each other, to create more positive family dynamics and happy home lives.

Feel free to reach out if you are looking for assistance in navigating your thoughts and feelings during a difficult time in your life. As a counsellor, I aim to foster a supportive, healing environment to help you connect with yourself, get in touch with your inner wisdom, and create meaningful changes in your life.

This means that in our work together, I may offer an invitation to work with experiential activities, metaphors, imagery, and parts work to facilitate the therapeutic process. Whether you are re-taking control of your life and starting over or you are looking to set time aside for your mental wellbeing, Art Therapy can help. Art Therapy is widely used as an auxiliary treatment for depression, illness and chronic pain, addiction and trauma. Children and Youth particularly respond well to Art Therapy as it offers a less confrontational approach to counseling.

I have experience working with children and youth with various challenges stemming from parental separation, anxiety disorders, grief and loss and especially difficulties with social inclusion and feeling outcasted. I encourage you to reach out and start your wellness journey. I truly look forward to showing you how Art Therapy can help better your life.

I am an Art Therapist with over six years of experience providing trauma informed mental health and addictions support to vulnerable clients in Surrey. Art Therapy is a treatment approach that combines the creative process and psychotherapy, facilitating self-exploration and understanding. A common misconception is that artistic ‘skill’ or ‘talent’ is required to benefit from art therapy. In fact, many artists find that their perfectionistic attitude towards their skill level promotes anxiety and a sense of failure. The purpose of Art Therapy is to promote wellness by engaging your creativity, playfulness and problem solving skills.

The path to healing looks different for everyone. By trying counseling, you are taking an effective step to better understanding yourself and your options when it comes to improving your life path.

If you are looking for a space to feel genuinely understood, to safely express all of your feelings (even the really scary ones), to vent and hash out difficult experiences or thoughts without judgment, and maybe even to create an action plan for change; I can help.

I serve all communities, including:

  • Couples and families
  • Poly-various relations
  • LGBTQ2+ peoples
  • Peoples legally required to participate in therapy
  • Peoples experiencing various addictions
  • Peoples experiencing concurrent (at the same time) mental health and substance use concerns
  • Anyone with race and/or religious and/or ability based concerns that impact their mental wellness
  • Sex workers or anyone with previous sex work experience

We will work together as a team on the journey to improve your well-being.

I am currently in the practicum portion of my Master’s Degree in Counseling, which means you will get the benefit of receiving therapy for a reduced cost, and the additional benefits of heightened therapist accountability, and professional guidance from some of the most experienced counselors at our clinic. I hold an undergraduate Degree in Psychology, as well as a certification from CAMH for Treatment of Concurrent Disorders. I have been trained by CrossRoads Collective in their newly developed Play Therapy Program, I am Suicide Safe Talk certified, and have multiple years of experience working in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. I believe deeply in the usefulness of harm reduction in all spaces, the legitimacy of everyone’s unique life experiences, and everyone’s capacity for change, whatever that may look or feel like for each individual or family unit.

I personally believe in a holistic approach to wellness, and subscribe to the understanding that the mind and the soul are not separate from the body. Choosing me to be a part of your therapeutic team means we will assess and address areas of your physical and spiritual wellness that also impact your mental wellness, like sleep, diet, ritual, movement, acts of self love, social relations, and so forth.

It is crucially important for therapeutic success that you find a therapist that you connect with and feel confident in. Knowing the therapist’s strengths and interests beforehand can be helpful in determining who is a good match for you. The strengths and interests I possess, and am constantly developing are:

  • Child Play Therapy

This is your journey. Only you have lived your life and become the person you are today. You know what you need, or maybe you just know you want something different, and I’m here to walk that path with you.

I offer non-judgmental, collaborative, client-centered, strengths-based support to help you process whatever it is you are working through. One of the things I enjoy most about this work is being able to help adults and youth become empowered again– remind them that they are stronger than they think, that many of the resources or answers are already there, waiting to be uncovered.

Some of the hardships I have assisted people with are:

-Past traumas that they feel “stuck” with

-Recent traumas and feeling overwhelmed

-Working through panic attacks and other anxiety disorders

-Improving communication in relationships

-Working out boundaries and creating plans for difficult conversations

I have had the good fortune to be supporting people since 2007, when I began working in Mental Health and Addictions. I always knew that I wanted to be a trauma counsellor (growing up with a first responder for a father was bound to do that to one of us 4 kids), so I knew I needed to continue with my education and experience. In 2010 I obtained my Bachelor of Social Work degree and began working as a Probation Officer. While I enjoyed working with people and facilitating groups, probation was not where I ultimately wanted to be so I pursued my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree from Yorkville University. After completing that practicum in 2013 and facilitating trauma groups, I began work as a trauma counsellor in a local non-profit, assisting women who had experienced childhood sexual abuse, sexual assault and/or domestic violence. More recently I have been working as a generalist counsellor, supporting people with a wide variety of issues/concerns.

My areas of specialization are:

-Addictions

-Anger Management

-Anxiety

-Communication/Boundaries

-Critical Incident Stress

-Depression

-Domestic Violence

-Self-Esteem

-Stress Management

-Trauma

I use the following modalities when working with clients:

-Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

-Dialectic Behavioural Therapy

-Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR)

-Mindfulness

-Motivational Interviewing

-Narrative Therapy

-Psychoeducation

I am a warm, empathic, and curious individual who is passionate about helping people in their self-discovery. I aspire to compassionately accompany people in their healing and growth. Many of us may feel trapped under the overwhelming burdens of our past and future or stuck within our seemingly endless responsibilities and expectations. I wholeheartedly intend to hold a nonjudgmental, neurodivergent-affirming, trauma-informed, and culturally sensitive space to fully listen to your story and help you navigate these challenges as you find a sense of clarity, balance, and wholeness in your life. My goal is to help you embrace your authentic self though gaining a deeper self-understanding.

I believe that a strong therapeutic relationship built on safety and trust is fundamental for healing and learning healthy boundaries. My approach to counselling is creative, warm, holistic, and explorative. I primarily work from a Jungian psychodynamic and Gestalt humanistic perspective. Depending on your needs, sessions could include exploring imagination, art, play, metaphors, and dreams in session. I also integrate evidence-based approaches into my practice. I consider it an absolute honour to witness your journey.

I am a cis-female second-generation settler with roots in Hong Kong. I fully embrace my identity as an ADHDer, diagnosed in my early 20s. I’m passionate about destigmatizing, normalizing, and celebrating neurodiversity as well as helping people heal from their childhood wounds. I aim to hold space for all human experiences as I believe every perspective holds some wisdom.

Currently, I am completing my Master of Counselling Psychology at Adler University in hopes to become a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the CCPA as well as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC. I also aim to be registered with the First Nations Health Authority. Previously, I completed my Bachelor of Kinesiology with the University of British Columbia.

Since my teenage years, I have consistently supported children, youth, and families with various identities across different helping capacities, including social services, education, recreation, and healthcare. Many of my current and former clients in the past five years have lived experiences with trauma and other mental health challenges or identify as ADHD or autistic. Specialties: Life Transitions, Parenting, Divorce/Separation, Anger management/Conflict resolution, Grief/Loss, Depression/Anxiety, Trauma or abuse, Personal Development

Mental health is a critical element of a fulfilling life. Yet, for some, it is just a mirage. As we transition through life, we experience unhappiness, anxiousness, depression, grief, and loss, which can have negative effects on our mind, body and soul and even negatively impact those around us. Although reaching out to a counsellor can make a person feel vulnerable it is through that vulnerability that assists us in building self-esteem, confidence and resilience to move forward in our lives. In my practice, I emphasize creating a trusting professional relationship using compassion, empathy and understanding your circumstance more clearly. With added support and education, we can alleviate the current intensity of the struggle or difficult situation.

I am a Registered Clinical counsellor and a Registered Social Worker and have been in private practice for over 20 years. I have worked in the health field as counsellor, advocate, coach, and group facilitator assisting people in the areas of:

• Grief and Loss counselling

• Past or Recent Trauma

• Communication / Anger Management

• Personal development

• Relationship and couples counselling

• Eating disorders and addictions

• Gender dysphoria, LGBTQ transitions & other issues

Some tools/training that I use in my sessions

• Sleep Hygiene

I practice and value the client centered model knowing that you have your own answers. At this time in your personal or professional struggle, you may simply require different and unique questioning to come to a clearer understanding of your current situation. The single most important first step is to align with someone you will quickly know, like and trust so that you can be as open and honest as your forge a new path for yourself. I am intuitive, astute and personable and would be honored to join you on your journey to a deeper understanding of your resilience and personal development.

Sometimes in life people go through painful experiences and unexpected events. It is my goal to help people heal and grow through periods of transitions in their lives. Many of us experience loss, grief, unhappiness or a sense of loss when we transition from one role to another in our daily lives. Some of us lose people we love, dreams we can no longer achieve, changes in careers, the diagnosis of a child with special needs, a loved one entering Long Term Care, or who is ailing in health, Divorce from a spouse, the beginning of a new marriage, perhaps with a blended family. It is my honour to help counsel you during these difficult transitions and help you heal from these difficult experiences.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) through the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCCAC). I am also licensed through the Canadian Counselling Psychotherapy Association (CCPA) and hold a CCC license.

I completed my Masters of Counselling Psychology at Trinity Western University and began working in my own private practice in 2016. Before going back to school to pursue my masters I worked as a Senior Executive in Sales and Marketing. I believe that my unique education has allowed me to help people grow and develop and create change for themselves.

I work with clients who are often stuck and want to transition themselves, whether it be a change of career, how to make difficult decisions whether it be to leave or a job or a relationship. How to deal with the loss of a divorce. Helping people work through blended families and or helping someone to create a new life for themselves after a separation or divorce. I also work with individuals who want to manage their time better, take on more challenges or who feel stuck in a current situation. I often work with those individuals who suffer from anxiety or depression and need help dealing with every day life and stressful circumstances.

About 10 years ago I adopted three special needs children and it was through that journey that I came to the work I am most passionate about, helping parents of special needs families. I meet with children and work with them using play therapy. It is during those sessions that I assess children for ADHD, Oppositional Defiance Disorder, Autism or and/or other types of learning disabilities. I then work with parent to help them have their child formally assessed and diagnosed by a registered psychologist. Once the family receives the diagnosis I work with parents to help them get resources such as Applied Behavioural Analysis, and Behavioural Intervention, OT/PT therapy, additional counselling for the child and various other required therapies. I work with the family to help them get funding for these therapies through charitable organizations and through the application to CRA to receive the Child Disability Benefits. I also go into the schools with the parents to work with their school based team to develop robust IEPS’ for their child which will follow them until graduation.

My passion for counseling has been consistently stirred by my own life experiences and need for support during, what felt like, impossible obstacles. It was not that long ago that I was the person sitting across from a counselor, using up all the Kleenex, feeling rejected, hurt, angry and hopeless. My feelings of defeat in that counseling room were met every time with compassion, empathy, understanding and the belief that tomorrow always provides the opportunity to begin again.

I gained tools and resources and faced tremendous growth and self-reflection. Right now, so many people are tired, worn out and struggling with the day to day, believing that they are stuck and very much alone. My hearts passion is to help you see, like someone has done for me, that tomorrow provides a new opportunity.

I believe that every individual has the potential and the capacity to face hardship with strength and resiliency. My passion is to help clients navigate the ever-changing landscape of their lives to discover their own strengths in the face of adversity and to celebrate the best versions of themselves. Through the therapeutic relationship I desire to create a collaborative, safe, non-judgmental and vulnerable space where clients can come to be seen, heard and known.

Whether through unexpected or planned life transition, challenging circumstances or relationship, the daily battle with chronic illness and/or pain, or simply seeking to become the best version of themselves, my passion is to provide individuals with coping skills, management strategies and resources to gain self-confidence and motivation to move from where they are to where they want to be. I believe that our past influences our present but does not define our future.

I previously completed my Undergraduate degree in Psychology and am currently working towards completion of my Graduate degree in Counseling. It is through my graduate program and practicum that I am gaining the experience needed to gain certification in counseling.

I understand that seeking counseling can be a courageous step, and I want you to know that you’re not alone on this path. I believe in the power of a collaborative and client-centered approach. I see our therapeutic relationship as a partnership, where your unique needs and aspirations are at the forefront of our work together. We’ll embark on a journey together, exploring your experiences, uncovering your strengths, and charting a course toward positive change.

Throughout our sessions, you can expect a safe and non-judgmental space where you are free to express yourself openly and honestly. I’m here to listen, offer guidance, and empower you to make the changes you desire. Together, we’ll work toward your goals and aspirations, no matter how big or small they may seem.

I am currently in the process of pursuing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University. Upon completing this program, I aspire to obtain certification as a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) through the CCPA and become a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BCACC.

Prior to embarking on my master’s journey, I earned a Bachelor of Technology degree in forensic investigation at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. During my career, I gained valuable experience in forensic mental health and providing support to women escaping domestic violence. Through these roles, I developed a profound passion for working closely with clients and facilitating positive transformations through counselling.

Throughout my career and personal experiences, I have come to understand that our identities and the labels we assign to ourselves are constructed over time. The trauma we endure can either shape us, break us, or provide us strategies for survival. It is by addressing the underlying causes of our suffering that we can unlock personal growth and change.

I am eager to collaborate with you on your journey towards self-awareness and insight into your strengths. My objective is to assist you in recognizing how past traumas and experiences continue to impact your life today, and to provide you with the tools necessary to foster resilience.

My counseling approach is rooted in integration, drawing from various psychosocial techniques tailored to meet your individual needs. I embrace a person-centered approach to empower you, build your strengths, and engage in collaborative goal setting.

If you are going through a challenging time, it can feel like your life is unraveling. My mission is to help you navigate the difficulties and challenges you are facing. Many of us are struggling with family conflict, separation/divorce, blended families, issues and resentments from the past, substance misuse, life transitions, and many other challenges. No matter what your current struggle is, it is important that you have guidance and support.

I completed a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology from Trinity Western University. I have continued my education since graduating, and I am currently completing a certificate program in Child and Family Forensics.

I have been involved with the BC family law system in professional and personal contexts for several years. My personal experience, research, and professional involvement has contributed to my belief that the family law system is not the best setting to resolve family issues relating to children. I am passionate about helping parents be the best they can be for their children, and finding it in themselves to put their children first.

Services offered include individual and couples counselling, co-parent counselling, divorce coaching, as well as group counselling and classes. Although I see clients across a broad spectrum, I specialize in the areas of family conflict, parenting, and high conflict separation/divorce. At Crossroads Collective, we use a team approach to assist families, wherein the therapists work together to help your family and ensure each member is supported through the process.

I have a deep love for working with all populations, youth, couples, and elders. I am committed to providing excellent counselling services in a timely fashion, with the goal of serving your needs. My expertise is in working with children and youth with educational and relationship challenges.

I work most effectively with children and youth who struggle with relationship issues. Having had severe dyslexia at a young age, has given me a wealth of compassion for those who struggle in school or in life.

I have been working with young people for almost 30 years, as both a teacher and as a registered clinical counsellor.

Being from Newfoundland, I have a profound appreciation for community, learning, and laughter. Growing up on an island, one experiences a unique sense of community that translates into helping one another whenever needed. My love of learning began from the time I learned to read and write, which was hampered by severe dyslexia, which took me a few years to catch up to my peers. Because I believe that laughter is the language of the soul, I seek to delight in the person I am working with. Counselling is a partnership that, at its most effective, is built upon integrity, commitment and an unconditional respect.

Everyone wants to be heard. It is my aim in practice to listen curiously and non-judgementally as I help you work through obstacles that have come on your path. I believe in creating a space that is safe and knows no boundaries to further self-discovery. Working with a holistic approach, learning to understand how all aspects of life can impact mental health and guide you towards achieving therapeutic goals.

It is a privilege to walk with you on the journey to healing, celebrating and mitigating life’s ups and downs. My hope is to foster a trusting therapeutic relationship with you by treating you genuinely and empathically.

I believe in a counselling setting where we work together to explore and discover your individual strengths and develop skills to overcome life’s challenges and adversities to ultimately achieve fulfilment and overall well being.

I can offer counselling and support in the following areas:

  • Relationship difficulties
  • Losses
  • Life transitions
  • Stress and Anxiety
  • Emotion Regulation
  • Burnout
  • Self-Esteem

My background in sales and marketing has prepared me to make the changes I did not know I needed. I decided to pursue a career in counselling when I was standing with a client trying to navigate his recent separation from his spouse. I remember standing there desperate to help and feeling completely helpless. That was the day I discovered my passion for people and helping them realise their absolute potential in mitigating difficult situations.

As an Immigrant to Canada, I believe I bring a unique perspective to the therapy room and understand the importance of relationships and community.

let’s make this financially feasible:

I offer a sliding scale to those who are experiencing financial challenges/hardship, have an income under 60K, and/or are survivors of family violence.

a little about me:

I specialize in aligning cost-effective, realistic, and actionable paths forward for families that proactively reduce/avoid conflict and re-establish consistency as well as calm.

Those who work with me often mention that I’m soft-spoken, and get things done.

Most often, I work with family members or co-parents individually, both parents within a co-parenting partnership and/or all parties involved in a family and/or co-parenting dynamic.

Holding safe spaces for my clients to be themselves is integral to my work.

I will seek to understand as well as accommodate each person’s unique needs so that they can come to the table at their most comfortable. I practice from a trauma-informed perspective. I’m culturally humble and actively seek continuous formal and humanistic education concerning diversity and inclusion. I’m an ally across many spectrums.

Nearly two decades ago, I began my career at assault services, and I’ve been fortunate to have led a wide variety of local, regional, domestic, and international teams toward the elevation of support and equity for those navigating challenging circumstances inclusive but not limited to mental illness, family violence, domestic violence, intimate partner violence, substance use/misuse, homelessness, poverty, crisis, and trauma.

My role is to guide folks, and facilitate conversations that help to figure out the unfigureoutable.

I’ve experienced the best and the worst of co-parenting challenges, family dynamic professionals, family law professionals, and the family law system as a child and as an adult. Personal and professional lived experience fuels me to help folks bring the opportunity for peace into the sunlight.

I’m an unapologetic nerd who trains with prolific professionals and renowned educational institutions.

I’ve been educated by the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, Family Mediation Canada, the Canadian Police Knowledge Network, the Centre for Research & Education on Violence Against Women & Children, Standford University, the University of Toronto, Harvard University, the Provincial Association of Transition Houses & Services, Research and Education for Solutions to Violence and Abuse (RESOLVE), the Justice Institute of British Columbia, The Crisis and Trauma Institute, The Institute of Child Psychology, the University of Michigan, Government of British Columbia, and the High Conflict Institute (directly by Bill Eddy LCSW, Esq.) amongst a plethora of others.

I’m an organizing committee member of the BC Chapter of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts ( afccbc.ca ). Most recently, I was on the task force that developed the provincial parenting plan guide for members of the bar and members of the bench within BC.

I’m a member of the Hear the Child Society, The Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, the Alternative Dispute Resolution Institute of Canada, The High Conflict Institute (in California), Family Mediation Canada, the American Bar Association (Associate/Non-Attorney), the Society for Children and Youth of British Columbia, International Academy of Collaborative Professionals, and The Family Dispute Resolution Institute of Ontario amongst others. I’m also a member of the associate family mediation roster with Mediate BC, and qualify as a mediator under s.4 of the FLA (Family Law Act).

Reach out! I’d love to hear from you. Let’s find real solutions that really work for you and your family.

How family mediation works:

Family mediation is facilitated by a highly trained conflict dispute resolution professional (mediator). The process itself is voluntary. Either party (person participating) can decide they do not want to continue at any time. The process itself can be completed online and/or in person and the steps are as follows:

Intake sessions (1 hour) I meet with each party one-on-one

Pre-mediation sessions (1 hour) I meet with each party one-on-one to prepare for the mediation session itself. We’ll go over the nuts and bolts of how everything works, and how to make the most efficient and effective use of our time together. I find this session significantly supports mediation sessions, however, I may not suggest it’s necessary.

Mediation sessions (2-4 hours) I practice only in a shuttle (each party in a room to themselves) format. Emotions often run high while figuring out future steps forward. I’m a firm believer that each person should have the time, space and comfortability to contribute. I also practiced only in the a closed mediation format. Mediation sessions are where parties come together to find mutual agreements. I don’t typically go longer than 4 hours in a day because, it’s not helpful for people to feel exhausted by this process. If an additional day is necessary, typically I book within 72 hours of the last mediation sessions. The average mediation is 3-4 hours total.

Mediation Summary Report - 1 to 2 hours Following mediation, you’ll receive a Mediation Summary Report from me. This is a document that details all of the mutual agreements that were able to be made. There is no additional information in this document.

My hourly rate for mediation is $250 per parent per hour. There is a $150 one-time administrative fee.

supporting children:

I’m happy to offer three (3) free counselling sessions through Crossroads for each child who is part of a family that I’m mediating or co-parent coaching.

I also wholeheartedly welcome children’s voices throughout the mediation process. This can be accomplished by child-inclusive interviews, and/or appropriate children’s professionals or appropriate children’s reports (hear the child, voice of the child, s.211 etc.).

The process of self-learning and connecting to our stories in order to make sense of our experiences, can be challenging and uncomfortable. You may find yourself feeling lost while carrying the immense heaviness of these challenges. I would be honored to collaborate with you, to foster your healing, and make space for your collective emotions so that you may engage with your life with a larger capacity.

I come from an integrative approach to therapy, with an emphasis on emotionally focused, mindfulness, and person centered therapy. I see humans as holistic beings through a biopsychosocial lens. “The most difficult thing in life is to know yourself.” - Thales (one of the Seven Sages of Ancient Greece)

I believe that life is a gift, and it presents us with unique experiences, situations and challenges every day. Navigating these becomes easy when we are supported by someone we can trust, when someone genuinely empathizes, when we are offered non-judgemental space and when we are heard with unconditional positive regard. I am humbled and honoured to support my clients by offering them a space to heal, discover themselves and live a fulfilling life.

I strive to build a strong relationship with my clients and adopt a client centered approach to ensure that the counselling experience is tailored to the individual needs of each client. My fascination with Anatomy and Physiology started as a child and has continued to amaze me as I grow and learn throughout my career. I started my life in health care in 2008 as a Medical Laboratory Assistant before deciding to further my education and interest in Anatomy by returning to school and going on to graduate from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy program in New Westminster in 2017.

Throughout schooling, I received a multitude of wonderful different opportunities to practice my skills, working at GF Strong rehabilitation Centre in Vancouver, with the athletes at UBC, the hospice at Canuck Place, as well as the Multiple Sclerosis and Pregnancy inreach Program at the school.

As a teenager I used to swim competitively and have personal experience and familiarity with injuries commonly associated with the strain and overuse that is common in this sport. I have a special interest in Fibromyalgia, Anxiety, Stress and Chronic Pain; but am also trained to treat whiplash, repetitive strain injuries, sciatica and a multitude of other conditions.

Everyone’s body is unique, and stores stress in different areas of the body which can sometimes manifest as pain or dysfunction. Massage Therapy can help bring more awareness to your body and ultimately help you recognize the signs before they become a repetitive issue. I love being able to help others and getting to know my clients to work with them in achieving their health goals.
